Meet Our Director
Chris Sturdivant has served as the Area Director of CMDA Memphis since August 2023. Chris is a native of Memphis. He is married to his wonderful wife, Jenna, and they have two children. They reside in the East Memphis area and are members of Eastside Community Church.
Chris graduated from the University of Memphis (2009) with a Bachelor of Education, majoring in Human and Health Performance with a concentration in Exercise and Sports Science. After graduating from the U of M, Chris attended Physical Therapy School at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis (2010). In December of 2010, Chris decided to change career paths and pursued full-time vocational ministry by accepting a college ministry job with Campus Outreach at The Village Church in Dallas/Fort Worth. For nearly a decade, He worked in various ministry roles seeking to evangelize, establish, equip, and export hundreds of college students on multiple college campuses. In 2020, Chris and Jenna moved to Memphis, and Chris accepted a job as a Pastoral Resident at Eastside Community Church. As previously mentioned, Chris accepted the role of Director of CMDA Memphis in August of 2023. In December of 2023, he graduated with a Master of Arts in Theological Studies from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Chris is passionate about discipleship and helping Christian professionals become further equipped to grow in their faith, live on mission, and make disciples. He is excited to serve healthcare professionals as they seek to integrate their faith with their practice.
